Talking on French TV of the quest in video games and literature
Sorry folks, this is about a French program, but I am very honoured to say that I have been invited by the pro-gamer Trinity, who is currently hosting a series of short TV programs about video games and art, to come and talk about the links between literature and games, especially when it comes to quests.
Playing the first ever Zelda game, The Witcher 3 and EVE Online, we talked about the quest pattern, its origins, its narrative uses and how it evolved with the media. (I also got to show that, almost 30 years later, I still know the layout of the first Zelda dungeon by heart, hahaha!)
A big thank you to Trinity and all the crew and production team for that invitation and that very nice and fun moment! All the episodes are available on the Arte channel website, on the show page (Art of Gaming).
